Anya Audette’s ‘Burt Bacharach Re (Imagined)’ is capturing the hearts of listeners with its unique take on the legendary Burt Bacharach-Dionne Warwick musical legacy. This exciting tribute album, featuring 14 carefully crafted tracks, marks Anya’s official debut in the album world. Produced in collaboration with Grammy Award-winning talents Conrad Osipowicz and Jarreau Williams at Blue Room Productions in Bethesda, MD, the album offers an innovative reimagining of Bacharach’s timeless classics.

The recording process for Anya Audette was a mix of fast-paced energy and steady, focused work. As she recalls, the final stages moved swiftly with both producers providing crucial direction, while the early sessions required more patience, particularly after the long studio break caused by the COVID pandemic. One standout moment was recording four tracks in a single day, a feat that speaks to Anya’s commitment and passion for this project.

Getting into the mood for recording, Anya turned to empowering music, cranking up Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ album on her stereo and dancing around the studio. Her go-to hype song? “Freedom” by Beyoncé and Kendrick Lamar, which always gets her in the zone.

While 14 tracks made the final cut, Anya shared that “Promises, Promises” was left off the album. Unsatisfied with the result, she plans to revisit the track for a future release. As for the album’s cinematic potential, she envisions it as the perfect soundtrack for a romantic comedy, with a dream cast of Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost.

For those looking to impress their crush, Anya suggests “I Just Don’t Know What To Do With Myself” as the ultimate track from the album. With its emotional depth, it’s sure to make an impact.

Reflecting on what Burt Bacharach might think of her album, Anya believes he would appreciate the fresh approach to his compositions, while offering insights into the storytelling and emotional weight of the lyrics. She hopes he would encourage her to keep pushing creative boundaries.

And if she could have a karaoke night with Dionne Warwick? The clear choice for a duet would be “That’s What Friends Are For”—a classic that perfectly captures the essence of friendship and the connection between their voices.

Looking ahead to her upcoming album release party, fans can expect a vibrant celebration at Angolo Ristorante Italiano in Washington, DC. With live performances, exclusive behind-the-scenes stories, and a chance to connect with Anya, it’s shaping up to be a night to remember. This event will be the perfect capstone to a project that celebrates the timeless genius of Bacharach and Warwick, while introducing Anya Audette’s own distinctive voice to the music world.
